So over the past few days I have been out and about checking out some new things that I have NOT since our arrival in Colorado. Peeped the Nature and Science Museum in Denver which was really cool. This place too me back to my younger years of wanting to hunt for dinosaur bones and the chemistry or makeup of modern day animals. During that time I fell in love with Elephants. Anyhow, got to wonder around that place for a while and really enjoyed it. I hate to say but the collective that put that place together did absolutely ZERO justice to the Native American History portion. I am normally one for awe while staring at old and new Indian artifacts and well......totem poles. The health and human display was pretty cool and eye opening.

Yesterday had a crappy day due to an illness I contracted temporarily from California Pizza Kitchen. BOO! Better now though. Last night my better half brought home to me a new iPOD Nano! YAY! Last night spent some time loading and syncing the music for future journeys....

Today we have a great day to enjoy. GOing to the house and then off to paint. Thanks FUSE from AWR, WCA.

A few weeks my fam and I were looking at movies and upcoming films. My wife being the true die hard Tribe fan she is was like YO! ATCQ has a movie coming out named "Beats Rhymes & Life-The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest." We were both stoked but the fact that we now live in a place that is culture and color of life deprived we do NOT get t here. In Denver, is that surprising. Should NOT be! Saw ATCQ in Califas a few years back on the Rock the Bells Tour......UH-MAZING! I'll get some personal photos up a bit later.

Anyhow, the controversial new documentary about legendary Hip Hop group A Tribe Called Quest entitled Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest is set to premier in front of audiences this summer. The film’s director, actor Michael Rapaport, has chosen to roll the film out in a road-show format, according to Billboard.com. This means the movie will hit different cities across the country throughout the summer.

Watching the video and listening to Ace it was pretty cool to learn how he was turned on to Tribe. I was actually the same exact way, Left My Wallet was the beginning for me and Tribe. Man I remember hearing it and then seeing the video I was buggin out!

Who can forget another banger!

Please go out and support and get educated if you dont know. A Tribe Called Quest will remain a staple in Hip Hop for life in my eyes. Thanks fellas for all you have done and hopefully will do in the near future.....

Keirin Championships 2011

Men's Keirin
There were two stories in the Men's Keirin. On the one hand, Sir Chris Hoy won the Gold at a canter - powering away from the bunch out of turn 3, he was uncatchable. After the disappointment of the Sprint competition, it was a real boost to the Scot's confidence and you could see the weight lifted from his massive shoulders - despite what had happened behind him.
Coming out of turn 4, Peralta of Spain clipped Awang of Malaysia and, in the ensuing chaos only Hoy escaped completely unharmed. Australian Jason Niblett of Jayco was clipped by a falling Eddie Dawkins of New Zealand but managed to regain control and cross the line in second. Dawkins went down, along with Peralta, Awang and Kuczynski of Poland.
Kuczynski and Awang got back up and rode across the line - Awang pipping the Pole for third place - and Dawkins and Peralta carried their bikes over the line. Peralta was relegated for causing the crash and Awang, having made it to turn 1, stopped again, only discover a huge wedge - splinter doesn't do it justice - of Siberian pine through his calf and out again through his shin.
Initial reports are that the wound was clean and went with the grain of the muscle, so although it will be extremely painful, he should recover well. Awang clinched the World Cup series with the third place and we at trackcycling wish him a speedy recovery.

Leader has recently updated their 725TR frames. For 2011 they look cleaner than they have for a while now. Clean welds and better clearances for wheel base and crank sets. They also recently added a new stock color the Sea Foam Green featured below. It looks ill and I love this color. I built up another bicycle w/the celeste line of kit I bought around the states. Now, would I rock one.....Uh YES, no doubt. It would be a good thing if they did a fork for this frame. As far as color goes that is. Anyhow, great job LEADER, its getting better and better for you guys. They also recently went through a merger lack of better terms. Cool video put on by the crew of Crank Arm Steady from Singapore! These cats never seem to put out or up any wackness which is a good thing. I do remember my days visiting good'ol Singapore. The fist time out there did suck. Had a flu, flew for days straight and crazy jet lag! Once we checked into the hotel there which was nothing less than amazing we all hit the sack for a few to regain our bearings. Then met up and wanted grub ASAP! It sucked. HOOTERS, com'on! Anyway, lets just say the following trips were way better!

Back on track:

"Our ride started earlier today at 5:30am from Punggol MRT Station with some 18 riders joining us in our sunrise ride and the very first sprint race on fixed gear. We did a looping route via Seletar Dam and then back to Punggol end to witness the sunrise before heading for breakfast in Sengkang.

Later we got back to the 600m stretch of freshly built road, closed from public use to start our sprint race. A total of 12 participating riders aging from as young as 15 years of age and above took their turns in pairs over round-robin to determine the final 3.

I have long followed Geekhouse and their amazing builds. I have always thought of them as a flawless build. I had heard through the grape vine per say that they had been working on a ROCKCITY build for Chachi. Now don't get it twisted, I don't know this cat....

What an eye! Heather has really inspired me to push myself in the photography area. Thanks Heather and the work is amazing!

So on Sunday I had the chance to ride w/a friend of mine named Lucas. Lucas has been my riding partner since I can remember here in Colorado SPrings. It was cool how we met casually riding down the main drag downtown Colorado Springs heading to Old Town Colorado Springs.....

Lucas has recently been attacked by a pirate named "GIHAD". Notorious for ganking dreadlocks. Anyhow, I am now interviewing various riders wherever I may be riding and here is the start.

-Where are you from originally and where are you currently residing?

-Whom or what got you into cycling, fixed gear track bikes specifically?
I GOT INTO RIDING BMX BIKES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. MY FRIEND ERIC WAS THE ONE WHO GOT ME HOOKED ON RIDING FIXED GEAR BIKES.

-What type of music do you listen to?
I LISTEN TO A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING. LATELY I HAVE BEEN HOOKED ON "THE NATIONAL."

Here are a few teasers for a near, near future film named Murder Of Couriers. I was recently turned on to this film to be by an anonymous person. I have researched it and have been awe struck by the shear raw elements of life itself. It depicts (thus far) what a courier is about. Having a profession as such is so much more than a 9-5'er. Well today has been a fairly good day. First off its Saturday so who can complain about that, especially those of us that are blessed to have the weekends to ourselves. Okay so today I finally had to take the Augusta into a shop to get the rear wheel tightened up. I have been rolling it w/TOO MUCH slack in the back...HA! So I took into a local shop here in Colorado Springs. I was happy that I got so many compliments on it today when I went in. I would have thought the road/MTB infested shop would have been nose sliden to look and think different. They really helped me out (the mechanic techs there have always been mad down!!) and got it straight. So I started to look over some bikes and all and then this dude Joe started to speak to me about the Velodrome and fixed and all. He did in fact got me inspired to attempt to get into better shape to hit the V-Drome here in the Springs. Here is something else that hit me....

The DEVIL'd Egg! I was never really a fan of these until...well, I made them:) I like them alot now, I found out what makes them and what makes them good for my taste buds.... The left over stuff is a dope spread for sandwiches to boot!

The day after Thanksgiving is always an interesting one. I feel guilty after all the food intake and want to get out and attempt, yes attempt to shed. This time we journeyed to Manitou Springs for a stroll on the streets. Amazingly enough it was quite packed. Here is a shot that captivated my heart.

Here is a shot of the saddleon the Tommaso. I had a black one then my homie Lucas hooked a ninja up w/this banger.... It looked in fair shape upon arrival until.... well I fell, don't laugh! Under the saddle lye a MISHKA "Bear Mop" sticker that the clan from the Death Adder's themselves sent me a while back. I love their nostalgic look and the creativity that is put into the brand. Anyway, this is just as comfortable as my black one just looks nicer w/the colorway on the sled. Thanks Lucas, let's shred!

T.A.D. Gear, Inc. was founded in San Francisco, CA in early 1997. Originally known as "Triple Aught Design", the company name was changed in 2002 to what it is now. We still get the occassional, "What does Triple Aught mean?". To that question we answer this; "triple aught" is another way of saying three zeroes, or "000". Three zeroes or "triple aught" also means "extra fine" in certain circles, and with a play on words, our company name means "Extra Fine Design".
